Seeing the success of Asus’s Eee PC almost all the computer manufacturers have decided to jump on the bandwagon. The number two computer manufacturer Dell also wants to join race and hence plans to launch an 8.9” laptop in June for less than $499. Taiwan’s Compal Electronics revealed the news about the 8.9” Dell laptop. Michael Dell said at a Tel Aviv news conference, “we will introduce a similar laptop, we do see opportunities for very interesting products that are smaller and lighter and address the more mobile users in a very cost-effective way.”
